Hilarious: Simon Cowell’s son Eric stole the show in a preview for the music mogul’s interview on Monday’s Loose Women
In the short preview clip released ahead of the interview, Eric can be seen jumping onto his dad’s lap before trying a clip a peg onto his finger.
As Simon cried out in pain at having his finger crushed, Ayda asking him who is the best judge on Britain’s Got Talent.
As the little one responds that it’s his dad, Simon hilarious quips ‘he has to say that!’
Ayda went onto ask Eric who the most handsome judge on the show is, to which he hilariously responded: ‘Me!’
Ouch: In the clip released ahead of Simon’s interview with Ayda Fielding, four-year-old Eric made a surprise appearance, and proceeded to clip his dad’s finger with a clothes peg
Simon’s interview in his LA home coincides with Children’s Hospice Week which begins on Monday, and in the interview Simon will chat about his support of the cause and ongoing backing of the charity Together For Short Lives, which helps children with life-limiting conditions.
His appearance on Loose Women comes after fans were left in hysterics by the Britain’s Got Talent audition stages on Saturday, when Simon failed to recognise what a bag for life was.
Leeds primary school teacher Micky Kerr performed his ode to the shopping receptacle, but Simon’s co-judge Amanda Holden was forced to explain the track before he received four yes’s from the panel.
Too funny: Little Eric said that dad Simon was the best judge on Britain’s Got Talent, but added that he was the most handsome
Cute: Eric’s reply left Simon joking: ‘he has to say that!’ in the interview where he pledged his support for the charity Together For Short Lives and Children’s Hospice Week
Clearly enjoying the quirky routine, David Walliams found more hilarity in Simon’s lack of understanding, and replied: ‘What was really funny was seeing Amanda having to explain what a bag for life is – he’s clearly not been to a supermarket since 1981.’
The momentary gaffe left some fans bewildered, with one tweeting: ”As if Simon Cowell didn’t know what a bag for life was’ while another wrote: ‘Good god Simon Cowell would be frantically Googling Bag For Life straight after they finished.’
But other’s weren’t so convinced at Simon’s lack of supermarket experience, with one viewer at home commenting: ‘Simon needs to get to a supermarket and do a weekly shop and he’ll definitely know what a bag for life is’.
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
