CHEMUNG, N.Y (WENY) — Two Broome County residents are behind bars in Chemung County after police say they were running a meth making operation.
According to New York State Police, 23-year-old Bradlee Bismark and 33-year-old Sarah Zimmer was arrested and charged with unlawful manufacture of meth and unlawful disposal of meth making materials. Both charges are felonies.
On Wednesday night, Troopers say they made the discovery when they were called out to O’Brien’s Inn located the Town of Chemung for a report of a disturbance. When Troopers got there, they say they discovered evidence of meth making materials inside of a rented room.
In the wooded area neaby — investigators found and seized a slew of meth making materials, gas generators, and lab equipment. Investigators also seized receipts and a shopping list of things needed to make meth.
In total, between 2 and 3 grams of meth was seized.
Zimmer was sent to jail on 25 hundred dollar cash bail. Bismark was sent to jail without bail.
