ALBANY, NY (WENY) — New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo, spoke about Hurricane Maria relief efforts in Puerto Rico on Sunday.
The Governor confirmed that New York would continue to aid Puerto Rico in recovery and make sure that the country and its people are given proper support.
Cuomo spoke about upcoming relief projects which include rebuilding homes, with tactical assessment teams deployed to come up with construction plans.
Hundreds of CUNY and SUNY students will also travel to Puerto Rico to rebuild homes in June, after supplies is delivered by a SUNY Maritime team in May.
This visit marked Cuomo’s third trip to Puerto Rico since the Hurricane hit in September.
