Tensions between a black motorist and a police officer almost escalated out of control after cops said they spotted ‘vegetation’ on the man’s window sill.
Rudy Samuel uploaded the filmed confrontation to Facebook earlier this week after he was detained by police officers in Winfield, Kansas.
Samuel can be seen explaining that he had just been pulled over ‘again’ after officers initially said he ‘failed to put my signal light on with in 100 feet.’

The father-of-two complains multiple times that the stop is taking an inordinate amount of time given that all of his paperwork is up to date and in order.
After an unspecified amount of time, one of the officers comes back to speak to Samuel and update him on the situation.
‘What caught my attention was this vegetation stuff right here,’ the officer begins, picking out a leafy substance from the driver-side door.
Incredulously, Samuel protests the cop’s claims, telling him that the ‘vegetation stuff’ was ‘from the trees’ and not a legitimate basis for pulling him over.
‘I don’t even smoke,’ Samuel quips as the officer walks back to his car to place the substance in an evidence bag for later testing.
Things appear to quickly escalate, however, as the officer returns to speak with Samuel, asking him to ‘step out of the vehicle for me.’

After asking why he was being ordered to step out of the car, the officer says ‘because I have the vegetation in the window.’
Suddenly, the cop lunges at Samuel causing his camera phone to rattle wildly, leaving just a dark picture frame. The phone’s audio, however, appears to function clearly.
‘Facebook, Facebook, y’all see that right,’ Samuel can be heard as the cop informs him that he is being detained so they can search his vehicle.
‘Why are you searching my vehicle,’ Samuel persists, with the officer responding ’cause the vegetation in the window.’
‘I give no permission, no consent for you to search my vehicle,’ Samuel tells the cops as listeners can hear handcuffs being placed on his wrists. ‘You have to test that before you search my vehicle,’ Samuel adds.
‘My uncle is a police officer, I’m not stupid.’
Samuel then informs the officers voluntarily that he has ‘a legal firearm’ in the middle console of his vehicle ‘that’s registered to me.’
Samuel can be heard one last time reminding officers that ‘I give no consent’ to the search of the vehicle before the phone shuts off.
According to the Cowley Courier Traveler, Samuel was not arrested in the incident and no case was opened into the matter, with officers admitting that no drugs were found in the car.
