Ella and Luke ‘fall in love’ in the next episode of The Secret Life of 5 Year Olds on Channel 4
The popular Channel 4 documentary uses hidden cameras to capture the antics of children in a nursery setting, and picked up a few tender moments between Ella and Luke.
The pair cuddled up together a teepee where they discussed their future together, as Ella asked Luke if she could be his ‘princess’ and he’d be her ‘prince’.
Speaking to the camera, Ella said: ‘I want to tell you something, we’re going to marry each other!’
And the feeling was very much mutual, as Luke said: ‘I’m so happy because I’m in love with her.’

Their only disagreement was where they would live when they grew up, as Ella wanted to move back to her native Hong Kong
But Luke had some very pressing – and quite grown up – worries about their union.
Ella was born in Hong Kong and told Luke that she wanted to move back there when they got married, but wanted him to stay in England for work.
A puzzled looking Luke said: ‘She will send me back to England to work, or she says to cook dinner, but I don’t know how that will work.’
When they were asked why they had fallen for each other, Ella said she liked that Luke was ‘kind’ and ‘ticklish like me’.
While she was clearly a romantic at heart, Ella’s parents revealed that she has a very serious side.

She lives with her stay-at-home mum Carmen and dad Carr in Berkshire after they relocated from Hong Kong.
Ella, who speaks Cantonese at home, is very studious and her parents had big plans for her.
Carmen said: ‘I can see her being a lawyer, a scientist. She has the intelligence to pursue some kind of career like that. I am preparing her to go to the top five universities in the world in my head.’
Her father revealed that Ella loves following the rules, and once even took herself to the naughty corner when she knew she had misbehaved.
